Read a book a month

Another great day. Lots of year end stuff happening here for me... haha and finding all the crazy things that I have done wrong in my accounts throughout the year (I haven't done too badly for a non accountant person!!!).

Today I am super grateful for Xero - has made my life super easy when doing accounts and I am super up to date for the last financial year already...

Tip of the day - Read a book a month

There are so many things to learn out there.

I love reading and I love a mixture of books. From things I am passionate about to hunkering down with a great Novel.

At the moment I am trying to make sure that I do at least 30 minutes per day on a non fiction book. Choosing a topic that I am interested in. At the moment my focus is Women's Health, particularly focusing on the Menstrual cycle. And I am wanting to learn about this for all ages...

If I read a book a month on this topic, by the end of one year, I would have read 12 books on this topic.. SO I am thinking that I will have a pretty broad knowledge of what is happening with our monthly cycles...

So, what are you interested in? Is there something that you are wanting to learn about but you haven't yet started.

I am sure now is a great time to start picking up a book and learning about something you are passionate about.

And remember if you are not that keen on reading then you could always get an audio book to make it easier. Look up online seminars on the topic. Either way if you committed to something new on your topic each month then you would have accumulated lots of knowledge and skills in just one years time.

Enjoy learning, enjoy the process and LOVE the knowledge you gain at the end of it.

We tend to overestimate what we can achieve in a day but underestimate what we can achieve in a year...

So grab your book and get reading.....

I look forward to hear the topics that you going to choose to learn about. Will keep you posted on mine.

Have a great night... Mel xx
